Welcome to Mrs. Kuehn's Sixth Grade Math! I am excited to work with you all this year!
This year will be my ninth year teaching Math at Midland Middle School!
I am a graduate from Monmouth College where I studied Elementary Education with my concentration being in Math. Not only did I spend hours in the classroom, while at college I had the unique opportunity to play and compete in the Monmouth College Pipe Band. My drumming activities took me to numerous new places including overseas to England, Ireland, and Scotland and gave me wonderful memories that I will never forget.
Once moving back home to my hometown of Henry, which is right up the road, I became a substitute teacher for the district and eventually got a job doing what I love, teaching some amazing students!
My husband, Kenny, my daughter, Charlie, and I live on a little farm outside of Putnam where we raise sheep! We also have a dog named Jimmy (or Jubbie according to Charlie) and a cat named Belle. If our daughter has anything to say about it, we will also be adding cows and pigs to our farm in the future.
I am an avid hockey fan (Go Blackhawks!), love to read, and enjoy spending time out on the farm working with our animals and in our garden!
I am looking forward to an amazing year with some of Midland's amazing students! Please let me know if you have any questions! I will get back to you as soon as possible!
